About the Collection
The collection covers General White’s family and career from his birth in 1901 to his death in 1990, and has been divided into sections which closely follows a chronological sequence based on his military service and civilian activities after retirement.
About Isaac Davis White
I.D. White, of New York City, pursued a general course of education while at Norwich. He was a member of the band as well as the “N,” radio, and glee clubs. He served as trumpeter and played polo. White was also a sharpshooter and a member of the Phi Kappa Delta fraternity. His life and illustrious military career are fully documented in the full finding aid to the collection prepared by Kay Schlueter in 2004 and available in hard copy at the Norwich University Archives.
