The collection consists primarily of publications by Kemp Russell Blanchard Flint, 1915-1933. Also included is a notebook, ca. 1924-1957, consisting of gleanings copied from the Norwich University Record and what appears to be the development of ideas for articles and research projects on Norwich topics. About Kemp Russell Blanchard Flint
K.R.B. Flint (1880-1969) graduated with the Norwich University class of 1903. He joined the Norwich faculty in 1907, eventually serving as head of the department of social sciences and retiring as professor emeritus. During the summer of 1920, Professor Flint lectured extensively on community planning in northern New York and New England, as a lecturer with the Redpath Chatauqua. In 1921, he introduced and sponsored a bill authorizing planning commissions in the state to the Vermont Legislature. Professor Flint was active in the local community and served as moderator of town meetings in Northfield for twenty years. When he retired in 1952, Norwich awarded K.R.B. Flint an honorary degree and later named Flint hall in his honor. K.R.B. Flint married Lena Bernice Thomas in 1905.
