Also included
are photographs, 1940s-1990s, of Ritchie Garrison (George’s brother), Randy Philbrook, Norwich events and campus, band, cadets, 1942 parade and the 1983 Board of Fellows. There are also Garrison’s commissions in the U.S. Army Reserve, 1954 (major) and 1961 (lt.col.) (in OSD2.3)
About George A. Garrison
George Garrison (1920-2005) of Waban, MA, graduated with the Norwich University Class of 1942. He was a member of Theta Chi, Skull and Swords and the Pegasus Players. He served in World War II as a cavalry officer. He worked for the Norton Company in Massachusetts for twenty-seven years and remained very active in Norwich affairs, serving on the Board of Fellows and Friends of the Library for many years. George Garrison was also active in the restoration of the Norwich carillon and in the Partridge Society. The control file contains additional information on George A. Garrison.

Norwich University and Partridge Society pins; a Norwich glass ashtray; commemorative hockey pucks from the dedication of the Kreitzberg Arena, 3 October 1998; goggles; and four pairs of riding boots were transferred from this collection to the Sullivan Museum and History Center in November 2008.
