About the Collection
The collection consists of John F. Gay’s Norwich University scrapbook or “memory book.” Apart from a single page of ephemera, the principle content of the scrapbook is in the form of autographs of friends, athletic team rosters and scores, personal “favorites,” and other written information Gay recorded on the scrapbook’s pre-printed pages.

John Farnum Gay of Bethel, VT, attended Norwich University but left Norwich after his freshman year and did not graduate with his class in 1930.
