About Joseph Gordon Fowler
Joseph G. Fowler was born in Rowley, MA, grew up in Bristol, VT, and later moved to Barre, VT. He graduated with the Norwich University class of 1941. While at Norwich, Joseph Fowler served as captain of the ski team and president of the outing club. He was a rifle expert and a pistol sharpshooter as well as a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. Fowler served in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, eventually retiring in 1965. He was married to Dorothy Gunther, who predeceased him. The control file included with the collection contains additional information on Joseph G. Fowler.
