About Milton L. Crandell
Milton Lee Crandell was born and died in Glens Falls, NY. He received his degree in architecture from Cornell University in 1917. During World War I, Milton Crandell was engaged in construction work at Camp Grant in Illinois. In 1920, Crandell and Louis Wetmore opened an architectural firm together in Glens Falls and worked together until 1923 when Crandell entered business for himself. During World War II, Milton Crandell worked on post-war development in Minnesota with the George A. Hormel Co. Crandell retired in 1966. He was instrumental in the design and construction of many Norwich University buildings throughout the 1950s and 1960s. The control file included with the collection contains additional biographical information on Milton Lee Crandell.
