The collection primarily includes compilations of Arthur Peach’s writings and poetry in the form of publications and clippings. Also included is sheet music, miscellaneous papers and biographical information. There are photographs documenting Norwich campus activities, musical clubs and football. About Arthur Wallace Peach
Arthur Wallace “Pop” Peach joined the Norwich University faculty in 1913, eventually becoming head of the English department. For many years, he coached the Norwich football team, leading them to win the state championship in 1918. Peach retired from Norwich in 1950 to assume the position of director of the Vermont Historical Society. A prolific writer and poet, Pop Peach also organized the 251 Club and was a founder of the Authors League of Vermont. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Peach married first Mabel Barrows (d. 1950) and later Camilla Hannan in 1952. Further biographical information on “Pop” Peach can be found in the control file.

Arthur Wallace Peach’s stopwatch and bookplate were transferred to the Sullivan Museum and History Center on 22 February 2010.
